No more Burnt Hut

Burnt Hut is a pretty famous lift here in oz at local resort Mt Buller. Very much the beginner run, it is pretty much the lift everyone rides at the end of most days up at Buller. A week or so ago we had some crazy storms and by chance Burnt Hut got Burnt. Lightning struck and burnt hut is no more.

What will the future hold for this area ? We can only wait and see as it is 2 months till the start of our Australian snow season.

While in the above we met some locals that really wanted shots with us, super drunk funny dudes they where that loved us for some reason



Billy organised me tickets and came riding pretty much every day possible, in the back ground is Joel and Troys place that I stayed at.



Of course there was a mexi lunch place in Niseko, too bad the food sucked but the hats where cool, Billy and I

Troy got a shot recently in the local travel mag, once he showed the staff at the restaurant they pretty much assumed he was the aussie Shaun White, he loved it and signed anything that was not nailed down notice the fingers on the metal hand



Next night Bad french came out with his lovely girlfriend



Next day there was the Flake Short Film Festival, here's kate manning the door

Night riding in japan is amazing, not one run but the whole hill

All good trips have to come to an end, Billy came down to airport to wave me off, even though we had no room for him :) tropper for sure



On way to airport we stopped at a market, crazy is all I can say

Last week in japan was awesome yet again only one thing missing
The Wife !

RIP Alex Chilton

SO 59 year old Singer of the Band Big Star died this week.
I never really listened to big star but knew how influential his band was. The Pixies, Nirvana and the Replacements all claimed them to be a big influence on their music
But I grew up loving this song

And always wondered who the heck "Alex Chilton" was, and I guess I was late listening to his band.
And I guess now will never see him live. Another reason to make sure I see more bands when I have the chance.

SO I just want to thank everyone for this awesome trip, but top of the list is the wife who sent me.
TC you are the best, without you I would have never gone So thank you again I LOVE YOU.

Also to these two, you both rule thanks for having my unorganised ass at your place for the last week

First Japan Blog Post

So thanks to The lovely Wife TC on Saturday morning I jumped on a plane to go to snowboarding in Japan again. Stoked beyond words thanks again TC
Here is a little update on whats gone on so far

Stoked to see go to gate after flying to Brisbane super early saturday morning.



I finally landed in Sapporo and Joel And Troy where there to pick me up, which was awesome, what made it more awesome was that we found our Friend Keegan walking around airport with no motel and no where to go. Troy booked him a motel and we dropped him off of course he was stoked thinking he would have to sleep in airport while he waited for his friends to arrive the next day.



Once we left airport on way to drop Keegan at his motel we had to stop at maccas to get some food, notice in shop below Troy is in the smoking section yep one row away from us :)

I will compile a better movie soon with the other clips I have, but till then enjoy the Troy



That night it was off to onsen, afterwards we chilled in the massage chairs, he is Joel relaxed.



It snowed all night and Troy had to take some travel agents on a tour of the hill, he loved to show them his fish and his mountain :)



Its snowing again tomorrow looks like it will be awesome.
